These tractors were available with Gasoline, LP gas, and Diesel engines. Other options and accessories such as fuel gauge, ammeter, and dash light may or may not have been present on various models. Original electrical systems were 12 volt, negative ground for diesel engines. All others were 6 volt, positive ground from the factory. Regardless of voltage, all tractors still used a generator and external voltage regulator. Many 6 volt tractors were upgraded to 12 volt generators and voltage regulators with no wiring changes required. The 6 volt coil could be used with a resistor or replaced with a 12 volt coil. The generator systems will all work equally well with the battery hooked up positive or negative ground.
